GOLF FORMAT & RULES
FORMAT
Two-person Net Best Ball Match Play. All teams will play five, 9-hole matches, 45-holes total. Each flight will consist of six teams, teams will play one match against every team in their respective flight. All matches are to play ALL 9-holes, regardless of how the match stands.
SCORING
Ten points are available for each match and are distributed as follows:
+1 POINT FOR WINNING A HOLE
+ ½ POINT FOR HALVING A HOLE
0 POINTS FOR LOSING A HOLE
+1 POINT FOR WINNING THE MATCH
+1/2 POINT FOR HALVING THE MATCH
MAX OF 10 POINTS PER MATCH
Teams playing in incomplete flights will play a match against PAR. Teams showing up late or not showing for a match will lose one point for each hole missed.
HANDICAPS
Each player receives 100% of their course handicap, however, will play off the lowest within each match.
FLIGHT WINNERS
In case of a tie for flight winners, we will compare the head-to-head match. If the match remains tied, we look at the lowest handicapped hole for the 9-hole stretch.
SHOOTOUT
The team with the most total points in each flight will advance to the Championship Shootout, Saturday evening, to determine the 2024 La Carrera Overall Champions.
TEES
Men will play from the La Carrera tees and Ladies will play from the Palm tees.
RULES
Play is governed by the USGA Rules of Golf except where the local rules are in effect.
